Pakistan Evangelism currently has 42 churches with over 12,000 members in Karachi, Toba Tek Singh, Saragodha and Faisalabad counties. We also have 8 existing churches with building needs. Five are located in Faisalabad, one in Karachi, two in Toba Tek Singh and one in Joharabad. Each building varies in the extent of the work needed but averages about $15,000 US each for a total of $120,000.
Each year a 4-day seminar is held for Christian ministers from around the country at an annual cost of $8,000. Pakistan Evangelism holds several outdoor crusades each year. These crusades are responsible for the majority of lives coming into God's kingdom. Some crusades draw 10,000 to 20,000 people from various villages with high numbers making personal decisions to follow Christ at each event. These crusades cost between $8,000 and $10,000 each.
Over 95% of the expenses are still coming from Bishop Albert's ministry efforts outside of the country. The United States is responsible for over 80% of that need each year. Since this requires Bishop Albert's traveling for more than 6 months of the year, we are looking for ways to cut the needed travel time so that Bishop Albert can spend more of his time and energy on the problems at hand. We are also considering ways through small business ventures to provide jobs for people in the congregation who have trouble as Christians finding any work. This may also be a way to raise money for the ministry needs as well but requires a lot of time and money to get started. We also are providing free education to fatherless and destitute children in Karachi,Faisalabad and Sargodha. Our Women Ministry team is reaching the neglected and oppressed women of an Islamic country with the message of hope and love.
